Marriott Internationalis an American Diverse brand with a wide- ranging portfolio of 30 brands with 7,003properties in 131 countries and territories around the world. MarriottInternational is the third largest hotel chain in the world. 2018 -19 has been significant for Marriott International to expand their footprints in Canada, as it hadacquired a domestic hotel brand Delta Hotels and Resorts with an inventory of 63 hotels. Marriott has alsoacquired Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. that would add lifestyle-oriented brands to itsportfolio. Marriott now has in Canada to nearly 200 hotels coast-to-coast, with the addition of Sheraton, Westin, W,Four Points by Sheraton, Le Méridien, Aloft and Element, plus several more in the pipeline set to open inthe next few months.
