Intro: Paragraph One Introduction of Postmodernism. Japanese Horror often draws from themes of postmodernism. Fewer jump scares and more psychological horror which stems from a rejection of modernist or classical themes. The postmodern is a rejection of epistemological foundationalism and of any sense of control. It reveals the fragility of mankind and the insignificance of any individual life.
