1. Anselm believes God to be "something than which nothing greater can be conceived.” What do you think he means by this phrase? Is this how God is typically thought of? * Anselm means that God is the greatest entity that exists in the world. Our mind cannot conceive of anything greater than God. God is typically thought of as a supreme, all-knowing, and all-powerful being. 2. What does it mean to say something exists in the understanding? * Something that exists in understanding is a thought or idea that is an imagination in the human mind but may not exist in the physical reality or real world. Vampires and Werewolves only exist in our imagination and movies. We understand their characteristics and what they are as in our imagination but they do not actually exist in our physical world. They only exist in our understanding and thoughts. 3. What are the five ways Aquinas proves the existence of God? Everything without a conscious must have someone to give them purpose and action
