The growing importance of natural alternative healing in contemporary culture is fascinating on several grounds. The exotic appeal of the unknown, safety inherent to that which is natural and the association with tribal ceremony makes this method of treatment enticing to many people. By examining the ads and marketing schemes for alternative cures, we can discover several reasons why consumers may be drawn to the product. This relates very well to people involved in the so called health craze where everything, including water, is unhealthy if not purified and packaged safely. It brings a much needed sense of purity into our bodies after a day of breathing smog infested air and eating preservative saturated foods.
