TYPES OF TISSUES Epithelial- covers body surface or lines body cavity, form boundaries between two different environments Connective - found everywhere in body, connects body parts Muscular - highly cellular and vascularized tissue for movement, muscle cells have contractile filaments and are called muscle fibers Nervous - regulates and controls body functions, neurons are specialized nerve cells that generate and conduct nerve impulses
