Alison Claire Burnette Sociology 101 Chapter 13 – Critical Thinking The Salvation Army is a popular “faith-based” social service with which people across the nation are familiar. It was founded as an organization that wanted to bring people together into meaningful relationships with God through Christ. This sounds very different from the Salvation Army of which I’ve heard. Usually, when I think of the Salvation Army, I think of discount clothing, furniture, etc… items that people have donated. These items, from what I know are sold at incredibly low prices in special Salvation Army stores.
