Long to deliver messages. Activate action potential d. Myelin Sheath-layer of fatty tissue that insulates them and speeds their impulses e. Synapse- junction between the axon tip of the sending neuron and dendrites/cell body of receiving neuron f. Synaptic Cleft- gap between neuron at nerve synapses across which a nerve impulse is transmitted by a neurotransmitter 3. What do neurotransmitters do? Remember, move, feel emotions 4. There are two different types of neurons: excitatory and inhibitory neurons. What is the difference and give some examples.
