(Pages 29-42, 60-86 focus on pages 60-64) Name GSI & Sect # Station # To answer these questions read all of the lab material on constructing recombinant DNA (pages 60-86) even though you are only doing pages 60-64 for lab 2. You also need to read about cells (pages 29-42). Write legibly. You will NOT be admitted to lab unless you turn in this completed pre-lab at the start! 1) Define or explain the following terms: annealing and ligation. 2) Complete the following based upon lab lecture and your readings in Campbell. i) Draw the short section of double stranded DNA indicated below. Include all atoms except for the bases use only the letters (you do not need to draw out the bases). Your drawing should resemble a composite of figures 16.5 and figures 16. 7 in Campbell ( p. 296 and p. 297 in the 7 th th ed.). 5'-ACGT-3'
