Unformatted text preview: American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Website Summary American Civil Liberties Union American Civil Liberties Union was founded in 1920 by Walter Nelles, Roger Baldwin and Crystal Eastmanas as non profit organization based in New York (Cottrell, 2001). The organization has a website which United States citizens uploads cases evidences, which the organization fights for their rights by lobbing on legislative procedures which violate liberties guaranteed by the country constitution. The website forms a platform that the organization uses to obtain evidence of any instance which violate their rights. It also hosts articles relevant to legislation, litigation and educates the community on their rights (Aclu.org, 2009). The website has individual or groups litigations filed in court with an aim of pursuing justice after their rights has been violated and needs justice to be done. It has news which is in their own view on what should be done to the legislations that are being formulated for the nation and violate their rights...
