A note about the Bushmen Genetic evidence suggests they are one of the oldest, if not the oldest, peoples in the world — a "genetic Adam" from which all humans can ultimately trace their genetic heritage. Since the mid-1990s the central government of Botswana has implemented a relocation policy, aiming to move the Bushmen out of their ancestral land on the Central Kalahari Game Reserve into newly created settlements.
