Thomas Ronan Two weeks ago Rob Breyley, a police officer of Cleveland Ohio, was told to take a political sign out from the windshield of his car. The sign was an example of a mans’ freedom of speech. On the sign was a political viewpoint which showed Breyley’s outlook on the two candidates for the presidential election. The signs opposition to Democratic nominee John Kerry turned into a huge predicament which led to a court case. According to their town policies there should be no displaying of political material while employees were on duty or on city property. The article stated that this policy was in the best interest of the town because it maintained a “neutral environment.” In my opinion, this policy is one that calls for attention.
