SYSC 3600 – Assignment #2 1/. You will recall the following system from question 3 of assignment 1: (a) Remodel the system using state space techniques. Clearly identify your choice of state variables and don’t forget the output equation. (b) Put your equations into matrix form (give A , B , C , and D for the system). Be sure to make clear which of your state variables is x 0 and so on. (c) Convert your state space model into a simulation diagram and enter this diagram into Simulink. Assume R = 2 ohm, L = 1mH, J = 10kg m 2 , and k t = 10 V/(rad/s). Use a 20 N- m step as the input and run a 2-second simulation. Submit your simulation diagram and the output graph. Notes: The simulation diagram shown below was created using the solution to question 3 of assignment 1 (i.e. the defining differential equation for the system). Your simulation diagram will look different, but will be equivalent (i.e. for given values and inputs, both diagrams should produce the same results).
