Amber Springer Eng 235 Professor Bond October 25, 2005 Beloved In Toni Morrison’s novel Beloved , the death and rejuveneation of the life of Sethe is seen. This decay and growth is to to her daughters Beloved and Denver. Denver uses manipulation tkeep Sethe close to her becaue Sethe has been torn between her past at Sweet Home. Beloved haunts her mother from the grae and braks Sethe down physically as an embodyment of the child she would have grown to become. Sethe’s past has controlled her life and she has been ignoring many of the e ents of her past and is forced to confront them when Beloved comes to the house. When Sethe tells beloved the stories of her past, she must deal with her own issues by answering Beloved’s many detailed questions. Denver is intrigued by Beloved because she wants to understand the mystibal and demonic powers that she has been using to keep Sethe bound.
