2. Consider the Haber process reaction : N 2(g) + 3H 2(g) 2 NH 3(g) . A closed vessel is found to have 0.417 M N 2 , 0.524 M H 2 , and 0.122 M NH 3 at 800 K. At this temperature, K = 0.278. Is the reaction at equilibrium? If not, is there a tendency to form more reactants or more products?
3. A 0.10 mol sample of pure ozone, O 3 , is placed in a sealed 1.0 L container and the reaction 2O 3(g) 3O 2(g) is allowed to reach equilibrium. A 0.50 mol sample of pure ozone is placed in a second 1.0 L contained at the same temperature and allowed to come to equilibrium. Do not do any calculations to answer the questions below.
