State Water Projects Federal Water Projects California State Water Project – takes the Sierra Nevada water out of the Delta and transports the water to agricultural users on west side of the S San Joaquin Valley and domestic users in the North and South Bay Area, and domestic and agricultural users in the Tehachapis-3.1 million acre feet/yr Central Valley Project- takes water from the Sierra Nevada out of the Delta to agricultural users in Sacramento and S San Joaquin Valley (7.0 million acre feet/yr-) Mokelumne Aqueduct- from the Mokulmne River to Alameda and CCC (365,000 acre fee/yr) Hetch Hetchy Reservoir and Aqueduct - from the Tuolomne River to San Francisco (300,000 acre feet/ yr) Los Angeles Aqueduct - Eastern Sierra streams to Los Angeles District Water Projects
