Chapter 4 Hands-On Project 4-4 1. I click on the Start menu, then I click on Run and I type cmd and I hit enter. 2. I type getmac to find the NIC MAC address and then I hit enter. I got an error saying I didn’t have a framedyn.dll. So I went to http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?framedyn and downloaded it. After I downloaded it I put it into my computer’s system file. I went back to cmd and retyped getmac and I got two results. Physical Address : 72-74-A9-83-8C-55 Transport Name: \Device\Tcpip_<90FB0A5B-640D-4F67-8E50-4B2401368B46> Physical Address: 00-19-D1-67-12-0E Transport Name: \Device|Tcpip_<4E568BE4-557E-4B60-97DF-A3328F126CD2> 3. Similar to last week’s Hands-On Project. I type ipconfig /all into cmd and it gives me results of all current TCP/IP network configuration values. Windows IP Configurations Host Name - heidi-e027f600e Primary DNS Suffix Node Type - Unknown IP Routing Enabled - No WINS Proxy Enabled – No Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection
