Chapter 12 Hands-On Project 12-4 1. I click Start, Control Panel to Start Performance Monitoring. I am already in Classic View so all I need to do is double-click Administrative Tools. You can also go to Start then go to Administrative Tools under Control Panel. 2. Under System Monitor I want to click New Counter Set and then I click the + on the toolbar and I open the Add Counters dialog box. 3. In the Add Counters dialog box Processor is the default in Performance Object and Select counters from list is already chosen in the option button. 4. %Processor Time is already chosen all I have to do is add it, so I click the add button.

I am looking at the vertical bar crossing the graph in Performance Monitoring. It is showing mw a line histogram of the % Processor Time and the Interrupts/sec counters. I don’t see any movement so I open my web browser. After opening my web browser it shows me some activity that is making the COU work and create interrupts. 7. I am finished so now I close Performance Monitor I was not asked whether or not I want to save console settings....
