Here is some information about the Blanton Art Museum, which I want you to look at during the week I am away. In particular, I want you to consider its appearance in light of issues about appearance that we have started discussing in class, and you have been discussing in your groups about the Brant House. Is it right that the building looks this way? Clearly architects have vastly different opinions about this, and I want you to understand the issue. Is it satisfying in appearance, or not? Why, or why not? Read the attached articles. What is the basis of the argument? To help, here are some images of the three designs, the first two of which are by the architects
