Chris Euksuzian Comm 101 Homework #2 Assignment #2 A. The first thing I would achieve for a very important speech would be to collect all the data possible for my speech. Without all the data, your speech can’t be backed up with a respectable argument. Once I did that I would write a rough draft of my speech dealing with the information that supported my speech. After that I would revise my rough draft and form my final draft. Once I got finished writing my speech, I would then practice the speech right in front of the mirror. Practicing your speech in front of the mirror is one of the most important things to do because it allows you to see how you present yourself when giving your speech and the long it takes you to present your speech. When I have a speech I always practice it right in front of the mirror. It always allowed me to become more comfortable speaking in front of people because it allows you to look at yourself and gets you used to talking in front of at least one person. For example, I had a how to speech in my public speaking class during my freshman year at my other college. It involved me teaching my fellow peers how to play the guitar. I prepared for this speech by writing down all the things I wanted to cover about guitar which included the parts of the guitar, how to hold the guitar, and how to play the guitar properly. I made the speech simple enough to understand that anybody that didn’t know anything about guitars could pick up the guitar and learn how to play the guitar.
