Nordic Mobile Telephone (NMT), the first internationalmobile phone network was built (Graph 1)●In 1982 Nokia made its first digital telephone switch, The Nokia DX200, which wentinto operation.●In 1991 a milestone is achieved as Nokia equipment is used to make the world’s firstGSM call●In 1992 Nokia corporation gets a new and fresh leadership as Jorma Ollila became thepresident and CEO of Nokia and focused the corporation’s effort towardstelecommunication●In 1992, Nokia also launched its very first GSM Handset , The Nokia 1011●In 994 Nokia launched its new model Nokia 2100, the first phone to feature the iconicNokia Tune and the world’s first satellite call was made using a Nokia GSM Handset,moving on Nokia also introduced its famous snake game via its model Nokia 6110which essentially became its differentiating offering.●In 1998, Nokia achieved yet another milestone by becoming a world leader in mobilephones.
