Hope Smith Professor Garrison WRIT 2302.05 7 April 2019 Methodology In order to answer the given research question, a qualitative research approach would most likely yield the best results. Since the two concepts being compared, personality traits and consumer behaviors, are abstract and cannot be measured simply by a numerical value, qualitative methods would be most appropriate. If I were to conduct my own research, I would conduct an interview or survey that addresses which personality traits the interviewee has and which consumer behaviors they exhibit. By answering these questions, I can, ideally, find a correlation or relationship between certain personality traits and consumer behaviors by comparing each individual’s results. Gathering a sample for this study would involve a random sampling strategy, hopefully acquiring a mixture of individuals that possess different personality traits and consumer behaviors, as well as similar.
