Lab 2 Exercise I Step 1 We would normalize this table because a.) the item_num column has repeating data; b.) The price column could have repeating data; C.) The item_descrip column could have repeating data. This might be a problem because if you delete the repeating item num, the potential repeating price, or the repeating item_descrip data it will remove that data from every record in the database thus making the information inaccurate. If you update any of these the rest of the records with this data may not get updated properly. Also, if you add data it too may not be added correctly because the tables are not normalized. These all lead to inefficient DBMS.
