EE2006 Digital Design/S Ranganath III- 1 III. Digital Logic Signal and Device Notations Transistor-transistor Logic (TTL) Parts. Signal Naming Conventions. The Positive Logic Convention and Logic Gate Representations. SSI Basic Gate Summary. Interpreting Signals in Digital Circuit Diagrams. Digital devices are manufactured under various technologies such as TTL, CMOS, NMOS, etc. Small scale integrated (SSI) circuit chips contain less than 12 gates and are commonly available as TTL parts. MSI chips contain between 13 and 99 gates, LSI between 100 and 1000, and VLSI more than 1000. These chips are available in various families.
