Unformatted text preview: Nactalye Vicencio 7/21/09 Album Review The reason I picked this album was because I wanted to know a more about Louis Armstrong, it was interesting to me when learning about him in class. For that reason I picked the album, “The Hot Fives.” This album stood out to be from the list, as well as the Chick Corea. When I went home to listen to the albums I was very anxious to see what the albums were all about. When I listened to the first CD I honestly thought it sounded horrible, so I stuck with the original Louis Armstrong album. The first song is called, “My Heart.” Louis Armstrong is playing the cornet, Kid Ory playing the trombone; Jonny Dodds playing clarinet, Lil Armstrong with the piano and lastly Johnny St Cyr playing the banjo. To me this song sounded swing like, I can picture people dancing and enjoying the music. This song was one of his first recordings that made him and his band famous. And it sounds like the cornet is leading the song. The forms seems like it can be band famous....
