The security department is among the most influenced by technology with most of the innovations ranging from improving the protection of security officers and national security. In the security sector cameras are imperative in providing real-time monitoring of the surrounding and close investigation through being embedded in distinct places. However, as much as camerasare widely used a good number of people perceive them as a means to interfere with people's privacy in public and private places. This argument is, however, negated by current research that suggests that body-worn cameras have more benefits to the law enforcement team. This paper seeks to elucidate the effectiveness of body-worn cameras to law enforcement officers.Effectiveness of the Body-Worn CamerasOver the years, the security agency has sort to improve how it offers services to the public through a collaborative policing. In most cases, this has bared fewer fruits with increased cases of social injustices originating from police officers. According to Sir Robert Peel, effective policing arises from the ability of the public to approve the existence of police action, behavior and the strength of the police to maintain positive public respect (Chapman, 2018). This argument originated from the great need of better means to enforce the law without interfering with the typical social culture of human beings.Many years later, Peel's principle is useful in contemporary society and appears to be the best way to eradicate the causes of social injustice from police officers. Traditionally police officers carried their roles without a system to monitor their activities and hence their socially unjust actions.
