Greg Skahill Eastern Orthodox 2/3/08 1. When we arrived at the church we were welcomed with smiling faces and a guy who told us about the mass. He notified us of which hymns were going to be done and what was going to happen throughout the mass. We also sat next to an elderly gentleman who shook our hands and welcomed us. 2. While at first it seemed to be a small gathering of middle aged to elderly people, but as the mass went on and concluded more people started to show up. The new comers had a few small children but many stayed middle-aged. There were about 40 people altogether by the end of the mass. They were mainly white, but seemed to be Greek in heritage. 3. There were pues which sat on a sloped floor up to a front panel of pictures. There was a doorway which the priest stood in while doing the mass and another father was to the side chanting. The choir was in a balcony behind us and the windows were all brightly colored with plaques underneath them. Lastly there was a huge dome with The Pantocrater. 4.
