Ryan Kleros Greg Harding Film and Fear 11/4/2018 In 1939, a worker has an abortion while working in a slaughterhouse and dies. The deformed baby is dumped in a garbage container and found by a beggar who brings him home. Along the years, the freak creature called Thomas is raised by the Hewitt family, working at a meat plant. In 1969, after being let go from the plant, he went out on a series of cannibalistic killings along the Texas highway route 17. These were some of the most violent and horrific crimes ever committed in the state of Texas, the victims that were later found had lacerations that would that could only be coincided from one weapon… the CHAINSAW!! The movie I chose to write about is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003). The main point of the movie is to set up a prologue for the previous film that came out in 1976. The on a side note, the movie demonstrates what people are willing to go through in order to survive, this is depicted graphicly through torture schemes, disturbing monologues and an overall desire for our victims to escape. A scene that strikes me is the act of Leatherface (Thomas) running through the front door(literally) in order to chase a woman that escaped the clutches of a demented family. He proceeds to chase after this woman wearing the face of her deceased
