The aim is to learn how to combine statistical analysis with economicinsights to answer questions. The course follows the College credit hour policy for four-creditcourses. We will meet twice weekly for 150min per week. The course also includes independentout-of-class assignments for 50min per week, using class notes and other course materials. Theseactivities include two major homeworks and a class project based on a peer-reviewed journal article(to be assigned) to be turned in at the end of the course.The course will involve: Class Notes (5%), Homework 1 (5%), Homework 2 (5%), Midterm 1(25%), Replication (5%), Midterm 2 (35%), Final Project (20%) grading weights are tentativeAcademic HonestyAll assignments and activities associated with this course must be performed in accordance with theUniversity of Rochester’s Academic Honesty policy.
