Healthcare reimbursement describes the payment that your hospital, doctor, diagnostic
facility, or other healthcare providers receive for giving you a medical service. Reimbursements
are generally made to facilitate a given activity or function. The majority of practices file and
submit claims electronically. This is the most efficient and accurate way to process claims, and it
saves the industry a significant amount of money compared to paper submissions. The healthcare
department is one of the sectors in the organization. The reimbursement system is, however,
dependent on the guidelines in the respective health department. The Patient Financial Services
(PFS) monitors the reimbursement process, analyze the reimbursement process and suggest
changes to help maximize the reimbursement. In this research project, a draft of the project about
