What evidence argues for (and would argue against) the hypothesis that life on earth originated from a single ancestral source? 2. What attributes define the three domains, and how are they related to each other? 3. What is the function of mitosis? Of meiosis? 4. What are the steps of the scientific process, and how can you differentiate them? 6. How can you distinguish between a causal question, a descriptive question and a hypothesis framed as a question ? 7. What was Mendel’s hypothesis, and how did it differ from other hypotheses of his time? 8. What different crosses can you do for one trait with two alleles? What are the possible and probable outcomes?
