First, the resumes are screened by the recruiting companies to evaluate if the applicant matches the relevant education qualifications for the job advertised. Those who do not attain the relevant educational level are sifted automatically to save the hiring manager from the backlog of many applicants who do not match the job post by knocking them out. Second, the hiring firms have shifted to online resumes because of the program’s efficiency. The hiring manager is saved a lot of time and money because those promising resumes will be readily available since the software doing the sifting will automatically reject the resumes that do not seem fit possibly because of typos and grammar or from excessive job-hopping.
