Curiosity rules my existence. And with curiosity comes the need to understand. I am an individual who wakes up everyday and wonders about all that my eyes have seen and even more about what I haven’t seen. I attempt to create a meaning for everything I have accomplished and how everything came to be in my life’s story. This curiosity carries over into my interest in the field of communication. I cannot help wanting to study all social creations because I want to fully understand all that my mind objectifies. After reading Chapter 4 in the Communication Theories textbook, I would self label myself as a phenomenological world interpreter who follows the interpretive worldview. As I learned of the interpretive worldview, I took many key parts of the chapter’s lesson to heart because they so closely resembled my own thought process of the world. A major example was the basic principles of phenomenology that included the search for subjective understanding over objective causal and universal explanation, the concept that meaning is
