Answering the Question Create a claim: Were the American colonists justified in waging war against Britain? While some people think American colonists were justified in waging war, they actually were not because Britain provided help and wanted some in return but colonists did not accept it nor returned any. What reasons support your claim? Reason 1: The colonists should be paying higher taxes after the help of the French and Indian war. Reason 2: The Boston Massacre could of been avoided. Reason 3: The rebellion/boycott gave the colonists another reason why Britain should make them pay more for taxes because of the money lost. Which documents support the reasons stated above? Why?
