Jeffrey BassTexas Government4/23/19Political Socialization I was born into a Christian Conservative household. My parents raised me in a Baptist Church and then in 2012 we moved to a Bible Church. Also, I was homeschooled from when I started school until I finished High School. I learned a lot of my values from my parents growingup. I was always taught to read the Bible and pray to God. My parents taught me to always work as hard as I can to the best of my ability and not to work so I will be praised by people but by God. They also taught me that I am responsible for my actions and that I am not a victim. Another thing they taught me was that my choices have consequences either good or bad. I was taught to treat others with love and compassion, which sometimes means telling them the hard truth they don’t want to hear. I learned that anything worth having will take hard work. Also, my parents raised me to save money and not to waste it on a whim. They also told me to avoid getting into debt as much as is possible now.Many of my values also came from my church. I really look up to the leaders in my church, they have taught me so many things. One of the most important things I learned from mychurch is that I was a sinner who could do nothing to be righteous before a holy God. I learned
