CH 116-J1 Week of September 8, 2008 Graphing and Density 1. Description of the Procedure Used. a. Obtain a pipette, small beaker, large beaker, and a small graduated cylinder. b. Using a balance, find the mass of the large beaker and write down in your notebook as the initial mass for each measure of mass used in this experiment. c. Remove the bulb and quickly place finger over the mouth, and then touch the tip to the beaker to remove the drop of water. Measure and write the initial volume down in your notebook. Release a portion of the water into the large beaker by slowly moving your finger off the mouth of the pipette and write the final volume of water down in your notebook. d.
