Chase Boyle 10.1.08 Curious Incident Essay Prompt #2 In the novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, there were many instances where one’s emotions were flaring. Sometimes I was happy, sometimes sad and other times I was laughing. The narrator, Christopher, an autistic adolescent, gave the reader much insight on his life, such as his family and what he was thinking. However, sometimes the way he portrayed these things lead to confusion. I found many instances where Christopher’s feelings were quite the opposite of mine I thought the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time was a very interesting novel, a very good one as well. Being told through an autistic child’s point of view really exemplified how it would be living as a person with autism. When Chris fought with his parents, his dad especially, you could tell that Chris had a very rough impact on his father’s emotional well being without Christopher even knowing it. We can also see our own actions towards different people through his eyes as well. This was best seen on his so-called journey especially when he was in the train station. It made me rethink my logic as to why I sometimes classify people as weird. This novel taught me
