Wednesday, March 11, 2009 Types of business entity Classification of business – International, transnational Relationship of legal structure to particular circumstances Factors influencing choice of legal structure – Size, ownership, finance, privatisation Business can be classified according to whether their transactions are continued to one country or span more than one country. Most businesses produce market and sell products entirely within one country. These are domestic businesses. Improvements in communications, marketing and transport have enabled many businesses to operate across national boundaries An International Business a legal entity where ownership and production are based in one country, but exports goods or services to overseas markets. E.g. Harley Davison Bikes; BHP steel and Buderim Ginger Limited on the sunshine coast exports to Europe, North America and Asia. A
