Brittany Burkhart (1.) The message is definitely ineffective in that it is not following any of the guidelines the book recommends a letter needs to have in order to be successfully communicated. Overall, the letter sounds as if it was written out of anger, and sounds very unprofessional. When saying that people are lying on their time cards, she did not use specific information to back up her accusations. Rather, she made it sound as if she heard the information about people lying through gossip and rumors. A person in charge should know their facts before they go on a tangent and start making up sloppy punishments. She certainly did not present information in a concise and efficient manner. She gave unnecessary information to the reader such as stating excuses as to why people could be late. It was a bit unethical for her to assume that girls may be shopping on their lunch hour. She also did not say how arriving to work on time can benefit the employees. She could have said that employees benefit as a whole because work gets done quicker when
