Brinell-10mm ball is forced into material w/designated weight Rockwell-120 degree diamond forced into material then is measured on meter to show hardness Shore-A, D-20 degree needle is set flat on piece and read hardness 4 mechanical properties of a material Strength, stiffness, toughness and durability How do you check the composition of a plastic or ceramic? This is determined by analytical chemistry technique.
