President: This document contains very confidential information!! Do not lose or misplace! Only distribute the required information to the corresponding officer. Example – only the VP of Finance should receive the VP of Finance portion. 1) Delegate a. The better you delegate the better the organization will function b. Make sure everyone has enough to do but make sure no one burns out c. ISA is like a puzzle i. The other board members are responsible for the pieces but you are responsible for putting the pieces together 2) Every board is different, make sure to evaluate the environment and the board’s preferences and act based upon that a. Example: no one wants to do socials… so no socials 3) ISA’s mission and objective a. You are responsible for answering the following questions i. What is ISA? ii. What do the members do? iii. What do the board members do? iv. What is the purpose of ISA? v. What are the benefits of being a member of ISA? 4) Marshall and Leventhal Meetings a. At least one person has to attend the meetings i. Leventhal 1. Usually 2 meetings per semester ii. Marshall 1. Usually 3 or 4 5) Marshall and Leventhal Documents a. Marshall i. Usually wants semester updates, one at the beginning one at the end 1. The operating plan at the beginning of the semester a. General info b. Board member info c. Semester planned activities d. Budget 2. Marshall Semester report a. List of professional events b. List of community service events c. List of social events d. Next semester board info e. Questions to answer

Marshall funding must be applied for, usually a presentation must be given 1. Applications will be sent out by Sean O’Connell 2. Presentation times will be scheduled by Sean O’Connell iii. Amount varies each year depending on how much Marshall gets and how much they will allocate per organization b. Leventhal Funding i. Contact is Robert Givens in Accounting 1. [email protected] 2. (213) 740-4869 3. ACC 126 ii. Amount $800 per school year c. USG (Undergraduate Student Government) - Professional Funding i. Applications can be found on the USC Student Organization Website 1. http://sait.usc.edu/stuorgs/ 2. Must be done 4 weeks in advance to the event 3. Contact the Professional Funding Director ii. Presentation must be given to USG iii. ISA must be a recognized organization in order to get Professional Funding 1. Talk to the VP of Operations
