Results For all three figures, the two allele frequencies of p and q mirror each other along the value of 0.5 because when one allele is seen more frequently, the other allele appears less frequently. In the first figure, which is the control, both alleles stayed close to a frequency of 0.5. In the second figure, which was set to a low mutation rate, the frequency of allele q is higher than the frequency of allele p. The difference between the allele frequencies is greater in the simulation with the low mutation rate than the difference between the allele frequencies in the control. In the third figure, which was a simulation for high mutation rate, the difference between the two allele frequencies becomes very large over time which is very different from the control.
