Required Steps Under The Vesicle Transport Hypothesis 1). Selection and concentration of cargo to be transported from a “donor” to an “acceptor” compartment. 2). Formation and “budding” of the vesicle transport intermediate. 3). Targeting and delivery of the transport vesicle to its cognate “acceptor” compartment. 4). Regulated delivery and fusion of cargo to the “acceptor” compartment.
