FYI: Thanatos- In Greek legend, he was Death personified. He was the son of Night and Darkness and the brother of sleep (Hypnos). He is not portrayed as a frightening being, but as a winged man who also loved the underworld. 2. FYI: "thanatos"- Greek for death; "opsis"- literally means sight; the title is translated as "Meditation Upon Death" 3. Lines 1-3: What kind of person does Nature speak to? Nature speaks to a person who is willing to gain spiritual knowledge. Nature also speaks to a person who takes the time to pay close attention to it when it speaks because nature comes in different forms and is all around you, but not many people can hear it speak. 4.
