What is a product What is a product product  is anything that can be offered to a  market for attention, acquisition, use or  consumption that might satisfy a want or need. It  includes physical objects, services, persons,  places, organisations and ideas.  Kotler el al. p.386 Basically there are two types of product: goods,  and service products. I define goods as being  'material', while service products are 'non- material' in nature.
