The marketing team at company headquar- ters is considering expanding this product line to include a greater variety of notebook sizes and styles. To prepare for a product develop- ment meeting, each regional manager has been asked to submit a quarterly sales summary of notebook products. Michael has a work- book containing notebook sales for the Lackawanna office on four worksheets, one for each quarter. To prepare the workbook for the meeting, he needs to add totals to the quarterly information, summa- rize data from the four quarters and also from the previous year’s note- book sales summary, and format the data so it’s easier to read. Michael also decides to post a Web page of the Q4 worksheet on the company intranet as an example to which other regional managers can refer.
