Why Study Philosophy? To explain this I will be using the example of a toolbox. I learned this method a long time ago. One should study philosophy because it expands their toolbox. Everyone in life has a toolbox. They use their toolbox to help solve problems and deal with life. They might have a hammer or a screwdriver in this toolbox. Some over the course of life have realized when to use the hammer or screwdriver.

It also allows a person to expand his toolbox to allow for more tools. Maybe a wrench or chisel appears next after studying philosophy. Either way after studying philosophy one have a better understanding of why they have their toolbox in the first place....
