Unformatted text preview: Threat represents a danger.A threat to a category of objects,persons,or any other entities means it represents constant danger to the assets.Threats have been researched a lot and it is fairly understood.A scheme has been developed to categorize the threats based on their respective activities.It is divided into 12 categories which represents dangers to an organizations information systems. The 12 categories of risk are listed below: 1)Acts of Human Error or failure: This includes acts performed without any intent or without malicious purpose.Improper training,inexperience,incorrect assumptions can cause these problems.Employee mistakes and accidents are examples of this threat. 2)Compromises to intellectual property: Information about an organizations intellectual property can be the greatest interest to its competitors and it can accidently disseminated to the people outside the organization.The owner has the right to control proprietory ideas as well as their virtual representation.Piracy and copyright infringement can be the right to control proprietory ideas as well as their virtual representation....
