Experiment 4 – Wire Capacitor Tank Level Response using Diglent ECB1 Experimental Questions: 1. How does the voltage output of the ECB1 vary as function of tank water depth using Transducer 2 (Wire Capacitor)? - As the water depth decreased, the voltage output of the ECB1 also decreased. These results were the same as in experiments one and three. The voltage values acquired by the wire capacitor were almost doubled from that of the foil capacitor. 2. Can a graph of this data accurately predict tank water depth? - The data showed a consistent linear relationship. An average trend line on the graph could simply be used to calculate depth from voltage or voltage from depth.
