10/02 Diomedes One of the Homeric heroes. Seem to be driven by kleos/glory so they can be remembered for ages to come. They are willing to sacrifice themselves and they are connected to the gods. Dying in battle was a very noble way to die. He was involved in the oath of tyndareus. He revealed Achilles at skyros and reassembled the troops the second time. When Achilles wasn’t in battle, he and ajax were the best warriors. He had the favor of the gods, especially Athena. Wounds Aphrodite and Ares in the same day the only person to ever do that. He finally has to retreat when Paris shoots at him in the thigh. He was in the Trojan horse. He was highly intelligent man but we never really see it. Hector. He is like the perfect man In book 6, we see all the sides of him. He may be a great warrior, but he is much, much more. He understands his role in every aspect in his life. His wife knows whats going to happen. She is also a strong women. She knows aweful things about about to happen. She lost her entire family to Achilles and she will lose
