TA: Samuel Ballas Office: RLM 11.142 phone: 475-8808 email: [email protected] Office Hours: Mon. and Wed. 1 to 2 and 3 to 4; and Tue. and Thur. 1 to 3 TEXT: The Basic Practice of Statistics, fourth edition (2007) by David S. Moore PREREQUSITE: The prerequisite is a score of at least 430 on the SAT Mathematics Level I test, or Mathematics 301 with a grade of at least C. WEBSITE: Blackboard will be used to post homework grades and course documents and announcements. HOMEWORK: Homework assignments (one each week) will consist of problems from one or more sections in the textbook. Homework given Monday, Wednesday and Friday of one week will be due the following Wednesday in class. A score of 0 to 100 (percent) will be given to each assignment based on overall effort and the grading of a subset of the problems in each assignment. Homework may be turned in early (to me personally), but may not be handed in late
